All southern hemisphere, anyway

Part roots rock, part punk — and somehow in the midst of all this classified (though no doubt astutely) as “pop” by Australian radio program Triple J Unearthed — Melbourne band BONJAH is of multinational origin, comprised of three New Zealanders, one Australian, and a South African. Their debut album Until Dawn (2009) was nominated for Best Australian Independent Blues and Roots Album, and the band was nominated by Rolling Stone for Best Blues & Roots Artist; a new studio album is due this year.

Listen to BONJAH on myspace, which includes their recently released single, The White Line.
